Molen de Roos
A working windmill that survived dramatic engineering beside Delft’s buried railway.
Begin where old Delft met the enormous challenge of railway renewal. Engineers stabilized and temporarily raised this working brick windmill while constructing the tunnel beside it. With the viaduct gone, De Roos once again commands the skyline, accompanied by tram bells and turning sails rather than trains rumbling overhead.
